Heart of the Desert

The concept is a traveler finding gates around a world in which they can travel. These gates are found in amazing places, in the folds of a map. This gate is located in the heart chakra of a giant statue. The traveler must ascend up a set of stone hands to get to the statue itself.

This is my first piece exploring the idea of gates. I love the concept but I don’t like the execution of this piece. line weight or color or both are just a little off. I will be revisiting this as I think it is a piece that could be improved on greatly.
