Rick Myers

There is one constant in Rick’s life and that is change. Meeting new people, moving, learning, and traveling is life’s adventure. He has been drawing and painting as long as he can remember. In Rick's youth he spent hours drawing dragons, comic characters, and so much other fantastic stuff.

Art has always been part of Rick's life and now is his primary focus. He believes that practice is the heart of an artist’s work, and that through practice great work is created. After a two year trip around the world and attending the Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding he realized that drawing is his kinesthetic approach to learning about the world. Rick now explores life, the world, and his imagination through art. The heart of his work is sketching every day. Rick is drawn to work that is both detailed and narrative, and he attempts to show these qualities in his work.
